Session Infomation

Due to its ability to provide high-quality 2-dimensional reflectivity images of the target area of interest free from the interference of cloud coverage, weather condition and daylight, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is predestined to be widely applied in various fields. Recently, the electromagnetic scattering techniques have been widely applied to SAR signal processing, deriving new paradigms (models, theories, concepts, techniques, etc) of algorithms in the fields of SAR imagging, SAR image interpretation, SAR automatic target recognition, etc, and bringing an extremely significant performance improvement.
The session focuses on the latest electromagnetic scattering-based technologies for SAR characteristic analysis, characteristic extraction, imaging and target recognition, as well as novel applications in a wider range of fields. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, computational electromagnetics of SAR, SAR electromagnetic scattering characteristic analysis and extraction, electromagnetic scattering-based imaging mechanism, theory and approach and the interpretation, target detection, classification and recognition in SAR images.
