Session Infomation

Low dimensional semiconductor optoelectronics materials (including quantum dot, quantum well, superlattice structure, microcavity and etc) are the key to achieve high performance semiconductor laser diodes in consideration of the incomparable tuning ability, high efficiency and highly integrated features.
The new generation of advanced semiconductor lasers is moving towards higher power outputs, lower power consumption, purer spectra, narrower linewidths, higher beam quality, advanced cascade structures and integrated devices. This session focuses on recent advances of semiconductor laser diodes in materials epitaxy technology, novel light-generated mechanisms, unique waveguide designs and performance breakthrough, which plays an important role in sensing, optical computing, medical field, 6G, quantum technology, automatic pilot and advanced manufacturing.
