Session Infomation

As vehicles evolve towards higher levels of autonomy, 4D mmWave radar stands out as a critical component by providing robust, high-resolution imaging and information processing capabilities. Unlike traditional systems, 4D radar offers an additional dimension of information—the ability to accurately measure elevation in addition to range, velocity, and azimuth—resulting in a comprehensive and dynamic understanding of the vehicle's surroundings. Aiming at this focus, modern advanced signal processing techniques, such as sparse signal processing, array signal processing and machine learning has also been introduced into the 4D mmWave automotive radar.
This session aims to explore the foundational technology behind 4D mmWave radars, their integration into automotive systems, and how modern signal processing techniques meets the 4D automotive radar. The scope of this session includes (but not limited to):
✦ 1D/2D array signal processing;
✦ Sparse array design;
✦ 1D/2D DOA estimation;
✦ Applications of sparse signal processing and compressed sensing in array radar imaging;
✦ 4D automotive radar imaging;
✦ Automotive radar point cloud processing and filtering;
✦ 4D automotive radar based information processing and ADAS technology.
