Session Infomation

With the evolution of technologies, an increasing number of wireless devices that use electromagnetic fields/waves for communication, biomedical applications, and more, covering a range from low frequency to Terahertz bands, are being utilized. Modeling and measurement techniques play crucial roles in assessing the interaction between electromagnetic fields and the human body, which are essential for bridging the knowledge gap in establishing exposure limits for electromagnetic safety and ensuring the safe use of these wireless technologies. This session encompasses the following key research areas:

1. Recent advances in computational and measurement methods for dosimetry assessment, covering parameters like E- and H-fields, SAR, and absorbed/epithelial power density, with a particular emphasis on emerging wireless technologies.
2. Exploration of multi-scale or multi-physics modeling techniques, integrating electromagnetic, thermal, and nerve modeling.
3. Application of wireless communication and power transmission technologies in biomedical devices such as implantable medical devices and capsule robots, and related electromagnetic safety assessment.
