Modern wireless communication systems require antennas and radomes to accommodate arbitrarily-shaped geometries. Promising new design strategies for conformal antennas/arrays, metasurface and radomes are on the horizon involving novel numerical techniques, advanced analytical tools, inverse design, and machine learning algorithms. This session focuses on the fundamental physics and numerical modeling, efficient electromagnetic analysis and intelligent beamforming, and High-performance designs of conformal antennas/arrays, metasurface and radomes. Example topics include wide-angular/band conformal antennas/arrays, conformal array analysis and synthesis, novel beamforming techniques and algorithms, conformal metasurface-based designs, low-scattering conformal radomes, conformal frequency selective surfaces, etc.
