PIERS —— A global symposium committed to
advancing photonics and electromagnetics for the benefit of humanity.
This session, entitled “quantum measurement and metrology”, focuses on the exploration of quantum measurement techniques that give better precision than the same measurement performed in a classical framework. All scholars working in fields related to the study of making high-resolution and highly sensitive measurements of physical parameters are welcome. The research objects include but not limited to solid spin systems, optomechanics, neutral atoms, trapped ions and the quantum theory of metrology. 8-10 talks from invited speakers and contributed oral presenters will be arranged in this session. The deadline for abstract submission is November 15th, 2023.
