Session Infomation

Optical metasurfaces have revolutionized traditional optical design concepts in photonics and have been used to focus, shape and control light in a desirable manner (e.g., lenses, holograms, structured beams, polarization detection). Optical metasurface devices have unusual functionalities that go beyond what conventional optics can provide. The emerging technology in optical metasurfaces has shown much promise to tackle the fundamental and technical challenges in various fields (e.g., linear, nonlinear and quantum domains). This session will focus on new physics and applications of optical metasurfaces.
