Session Infomation

Optoelectronic devices transform electrical signals into optical signals and vice versa. A recent trend in this field is to fully exploit the multidimensional parameters of light beyond intensity, such as polarization, wavelength, momentum, and orbital angular momentum. For example, by employing sophisticated optically resonant structures, we can highly enhance and modulate the interactions between electrons and photons. These novel functional optoelectronic devices open up new opportunities for integrated optoelectronic systems, with potential applications in imaging, sensing, communication, machine vision, astronomy, and more. This session aims to communicate the progress of research on the design, fabrication, and application of functional optoelectronic devices. Potential topics include but are not limited to: chiral light sources and detectors, directional emitters, optical vortex emitters, wavelength-resolved detectors, polarization-sensitive detectors, angle-sensitive detectors, optical vortex detectors, and other functional optoelectronic devices.
