Plasmonics for Single Molecule Detection and Manipulation - canceled

Session Infomation

Plasmonics is the discipline that investigates the use of collective oscillations of conductive electrons in metallic nanostructures, called surface plasmons (SPs), to realize a large
set of devices to be applied in sensing, nanomedicine, metamaterials, energy harvesting, and many others. During the past decade, several examples of plasmonic platforms have
been proposed for single-molecule studies. In particular, plasmonic enables to perform single-molecule spectroscopy. This is a central topic in nanoscience, and tremendous applications have been developed so far, from sequencing and trapping to sub-nm control of quantum effects. During the last decade, plasmonic platforms were extensively investigated as transducers for enhanced sensing, optical trapping, single-molecule imaging and extreme nanophotonics. This session welcomes all the researchers that want to present their important results on this topic.
