Session Infomation

Acoustic and phononic metamaterials and the associated phenomena have been an important branch of metamaterial research. The development of sound-mater interactions has led to unprecedented opportunities for the control of sound in various applications in sensing, communication, biomedicine, and so on. This session focuses on fundamental physics as well as the application of acoustic/phononic metamaterials, metasurfaces, and metadevices. Topics covered include, but are not limited to acoustic/phononic metamaterials and metasurfaces, non-Hermitian acoustics, novel sound-matter interactions, practical applications of metadevices, etc.
