Session Infomation

The study of thermal radiation boasts a long history of over two hundred years yet continue to be of great fundamental interest and practical importance. This session aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for researchers from different background to come together and discuss recent advances in terms of computational methods, experimental approaches, theoretical insights, and technological applications. Specific topics include but are not limited to: near-field radiation, super-Planckian emission, many-body interactions, nonreciprocal transport, quantized transport, polariton-mediated heat conduction, phonon tunneling, radiation control via external fields, phase-change materials, photonic crystals, two-dimensional materials, topological materials, near- and far-field radiative cooling, thermophotovoltaics and related energy harvesting devices, thermal catalysis, thermal imaging, heat-assisted lithography, as well as thermal diodes, transistors, switches, amplifiers, oscillators, and memories. Studies of Casimir force are also welcome which shares the same origin with thermal radiation in the fluctuating electromagnetic fields.

Submitted Articles

Note: The following submitted articles are not guaranteed to be scheduled in the final program at this stage. The final presentation type and arranged session will be decided by Technical Program Committee.
