Session Infomation

Energy sustainability is a major concern in 6G and Internet-of-Things (IoT) due to the lack of mature solutions for powering and keeping uninterrupted operations for a massive number of devices. Radiative wireless power transfer (WPT) and energy harvesting (EH) technologies by means of antenna and antenna arrays are now strongly under investigation by the research community and industries because they can provide an effective solution to this problem, and parallelly enable the establishment of long-range wireless energy links, e.g., for the implementation of solar power satellite stations. This session would like to gather new contributions in the fields of antenna and antenna array design for WPT and EH, including (but not limited to) high efficiency and/or reconfigurable transmitting antenna/antenna array/metasurface and rectenna/receiving array/energy harvesting metasurface for narrowband/wideband WPT/EH systems, as well as dedicated low/high power WPT antenna and antenna array design.
